Faith Baptist Church was started by Pastor Buckey Halford and some charter members in June of 1985. Pastor Halford, his wife, Susan, and their two boys were local citizens of Blythe. The Lord used him and the church to see many souls saved over the years.

After pastoring faithfully for 36 years, he retired in June of 2021.  The church voted in the Associate Pastor, Brian D. O'Neal, to become pastor after Pastor Halford retired.  Pastor Halford is now with His Savior, going home to be with the Lord shortly after retirement.
